Inspector Chris Hardy, Projects Officer Senior Management Team (SMT) at Borough Command Unit (BCU) Police Headquarters, Blackpool treated us to a preview of the proposed new facilities to be built on the old Progress House site.
Plans for Blackpool’s new West Division Police Headquarters based in Blackpool have been submitted to the council.
The new building will replace the Bonny Street building in 2018.
It will provide a new base for local neighbourhood teams, immediate response officers and 42 custody cells.
A planning application for the new building on the site of the former Progress House Council offices on Clifton Road has been submitted to the council.
Blackpool Town Centre neighbourhood team and public enquiry team will relocate to the Council’s Municipal Building, in Corporation Street, as part of the plan.
